Welcome to Witney Dramatic Society (est. 1946)
Welcome to Witney Dramatic Society (WDS). We are an amateur drama group based in Witney, Oxfordshire and have been performing a huge variety of pantomimes, plays, musicals and comedies for the past 70 years. All our performances are held in the Methodist Church, WItney and have been a big sucess. We always welcome new members, so, if you are interested, head over to our 'Join us' page or why not join us at one of our rehearsal evenings. See our calendar page for dates and times. It is with great regret that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we have had to postpone our October 2021 performance of ‘The Truth Fairies’ until Spring 2022.

We are now on YouTube!
The COVID-19 restrictions meant that our live performances got put on hold and we carried on with our Club Nights online using Zoom. A few of our members got busy writing our own short plays and we thought we’s share some of these through our new YouTube channel. We hope to make a few more of these and also more videos to keep you up to date with what we’re doing!

We're still here! Throughout the last few strange months, we've been 'virtually' rehearsing The Truth Fairies by Sally Kinnell, and on Saturday 10th October, we will be giving a live streamed performance through zoom.

Club night
Club nights are usually held every Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Mary and Martha room at the Witney Methodist Church (upstairs in the new building at the back of the church -see plan at building entrance ).
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, these are currently on hold and we have been carrying these out online via Zoom.
